Welcome to the PTO Library Committee. We are a group of parent volunteers who work to support our school library by raising money to finance the visiting author/illustrator program as well as provide general support for the library’s literacy initiatives.

The author/illustrator program brings incredible professionals into the school and classrooms to present their work, ideas and creative process to all age groups. The children have a hands-on opportunity to learn what goes into writing and illustrating a book. It is a terrific way to increase student interest and excitement in reading and writing, and allows them to see books in a new and exciting way.

The PTO Library Committee provides financial support for the visiting author/illustrator program through two major fundraising efforts:

• Staff and manage the Used Book Sale at Pumpkinfest each October
• Staff and manage the Scholastic Book Fair each spring

In addition to these two major fundraisers, there are many ways to assist the school library. Please contact us by clicking on “PTO Committee Chairs” icon on the left side of the page.

Lincoln School Library Birthday Book Donation Club

Have you heard about the Lincoln School Library Birthday Book Donation Club? This is a great way to celebrate birthdays and special events, or to acknowledge a great teacher or beloved family member. Donate a book to the school library!

How can you join the Birthday Book Club? Simply stop by the library and complete a Birthday Book Donation Club form. The cost is $15 per hardcover book. Give your check and form to the librarian; they will select a book that the library needs. The book in your name will be added to the library’s collection and a bookplate with the name/occasion will be affixed to the inside front cover.
